Well, although it’s not relevant to the current page, I got “MANGA FOR DUMMIES” which is really helpful despite the stupid title. And..well, if I follow the tips in the book, my artwork should improve tenfold!

Former prime minister of Pakistan, People’s Party Leader Benazir Bhutto, was killed today in a brutal attack that consisted of a bullet straight to the neck and chest, followed by a suicide bombing, which also killed over 20 people. The assassination marks the most significant in a string of tumultuous events that have crippled Pakistan’s political stability. Bhutto’s return to Pakistan several months ago, after years of exile, was met with both support and tension, as she, as well as the government, was well aware her life was at risk. Bhutto was warned, time and time again, and yet she thrust herself on a dark stage, some say for the sake of “democracy” (Uh..No.) or perhaps more likely, for power and wealth. It had come to the point where she stated that if she and her supporters did not win the election, that it was staged (Some democracy that is). God knows best of her true intentions, I seek no disrespect.
I will not lie and say that I supported Bhutto. Nor do I think that she would have been the best choice for Pakistan (but neither are Musharraf, Sharif, and Extremists). I do not believe she should be hailed as some beacon of light on Pakistan, but she should be given the proper respect any deceased individual is due. What is perhaps most striking of all is her death in itself, and the foolish reaction that has proceeded. Murder is no solution to political dispute, and that goes for those who killed her, as well as the individuals have who have attempted to murder current President Musharraf nine times. Her supporters, who are deemed loyal, are also plagued by moronic mob like tendencies. Arson? Breaking windows? Lighting people’s cars and trucks on fire? It makes so much sense, doesn’t it? They are angered by an act of vicious violence, so they respond with some senseless, and fruitless mayhem themselves. Their actions do not honor Bhutto, Pakistan, or rationale in general.
In the coming days and weeks, more will unfold in light of these circumstances. Perhaps things will become a tad overblown, especially since a barrage of conspiracy theories will spread. People believe terrorists may have been responsible, and Bhutto herself said she would blame Musharraf is she was killed. The e-mail she sent is a bit out of place, and seems a bit fishy, considering the many spelling errors and poor language, especially for someone who is said to be cultured as herself. Regardless, I feel for the families of those killed and of Bhutto’s family, and I hope their burdens are eased.
EDIT (Again): There is no clear idea of who was responsible. The failure to administer an autopsy has made her true cause of death a mystery.

Or maybe someone who doesn’t know any better. Regardless, “Bling H20″ *vomits*, produced by Kevin Boyd, some random Hollywood writer I could care less about, combines plain ol’ water with jewelry to create…well, nothing. This utterly idiotic idea serves as yet another testament to human ignorance, and it escapes me how sane people would pay 52 dollars for a bottle of water. God help us all…

“Prince Among Slaves” is a new documentary set to air on PBS that chronicles the life of Abdulrahman Ibn Sori, a former prince from West Africa who was enslaved in the United States. The Muslim prince’s life is amongst the most detailed and comprehensive accounts of a slave in history, yet as the documentary explains, is largely unknown. Sori managed to obtain freedom in the US decades before the ratification of the 13th amendment.
